Nov. 12, 2013
November 12, 2013, is a date that only rolls around once every hundred years, and some couples have decided to take advantage of the unique date, and make it into their own special day.
Luke Woodyard has been eagerly awaiting Tuesday Nov.12, 2013 for more than a year. It's the day he and his bride Sarah will be married.
"We've been looking forward to this. We've been planning it for quite some time, and coming up to Virginia where we both are from was important to us and to our family," said Woodyard.
But Luke and Sarah, aren't alone in picking the sequential date to exchange their vows. David's Bridal estimates more than 3,300 brides will marry on 11-12-13, nearly eight times more than the same date last year.
"You''ll never forget your anniversary and if you do you are in trouble," said the Inn at Willow Grove's Guest Services Director, Michele Sigler.
The staff at the Inn at Willow Grove say sequential dates are popular.
"We've done some in the past couple years. We did 9-10-11," said General Manager Matthew Scibal.
But for Woodyard, there's only one date that matters most.
"11-12-13 only comes around once in a lifetime," Woodyard said.
