The family of missing Nelson County teenager Alexis Murphy is expecting hundreds to turn out Sunday in a search for the high school senior.

Alexis was last seen Aug. 3 in Lovingston. One man, Randy Taylor, has been arrested in connection with her disappearance.

Now, the community has organized a search to find clues that could help lead to where Alexis is.

Family of the 17-year-old say they expect between 400 and 500 people to help out in the search. Anyone is welcome to attend.

The search teams will meet noon on Sunday at Nelson County High School. The plan is to scour the Route 29 corridor.
