A Richmond man will spend a year in prison for a fatal crash in Albemarle County.

25-year-old Lindsey Copley was charged with reckless driving, after a crash in May of 2012. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison, but nine of those years were suspended.

State Police say he rear-ended an SUV with his car on Interstate 64. The impact caused the SUV to run off the road, hit the guardrail and flip over.

One person died, and three others were seriously hurt in the crash.
