Dave Matthews Band Provides Over $400k in Grants to Local Nonprofits

The Charlottesville Area Community Foundation (CACF) announces $400,700 in grants is being awarded to 61 local nonprofits.

The grant money is coming from the Bama Works Fund of Dave Matthews Band in CACF.

The Bama Works Fund supports charitable programs in the Charlottesville area with particular focus on disadvantaged youth, needs of the disabled, protection of the environment, and the arts and humanities.

"The [Dave Matthews Band] has touched and improved the lives of many in our local area. The Community Foundation is deeply grateful for their support and for the good work of the deserving organizations which will benefit from the gifts being announced today," said Anne Scott, President of CACF.
