1 Dead, 2 Injured in Thomas Jefferson Parkway Wreck

One person has died and two others were injured in an early-morning crash Sunday on the Thomas Jefferson Parkway.

Albemarle County Police responded to the scene on the 2900-block of the Thomas Jefferson Parkway for a two-car crash. It happened around 3:15 a.m. Sunday.

When officers arrived on scene, they found both cars on fire.

None of the victims have been identified. The two victims who were taken to the University of Virginia Medical Center had minor injuries.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
