Man Arrested in Orange Co. Meth Lab Investigation


On Dec. 16, 40-year-old Toby Joseph Sykes was arrested for numerous charges, including possession of precursors with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine.

Investigators with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and the Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force arrest one man at a meth lab on Scuffletown Road in the Barboursville area.

On Dec. 16, 40-year-old Toby Joseph Sykes was arrested for numerous charges, including possession of precursors with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine, driving while revoked, along with two other misdemeanor charges related to the vehicle registration. Other charges are pending in the investigation.

The Virginia State Police Drug Enforcement Section also participated in the arrest and collection of evidence at the scene.
