Mint Springs Lake to be Partially Drained for Repairs

December 28, 2013

If you fish in Mint Springs Lake in Crozet, you might have to find a new place to catch trout beginning next month.

In January, officials with Albemarle County Parks are expected to drain part of the lake for repairs. The office has scheduled the replacement of the swimming dock and bridge in the upper lake after Jan. 1.

Public access will be denied to the area as the lake is pumped down to below 12 feet.

Fishing will be prohibited as soon as the pump down process begins.
