Housing costs and availability are the top public policy issue facing the region, according to the Charlottesville Chamber of Commerce.

Tuesday, officials issued the Annual Chamber Report to over 300 business and community leaders who attended the Annual Business Luncheon at the Double Tree Hotel. The Chamber also presented this year's Hovey S. Dabney Award for Corporate Citizenship to McGuire-Woods law firm. The firm says they never saw it coming.

"I don't think anyone expects to receive an award like that, and so it's always a wonderful opportunity when you have a chance to give back to your community and to have someone say 'thank you' for it," said Craig Wood, with McGuire Woods.

At the luncheon, Chamber members also got to hear the first address from their chairperson.
