Twenty students from Open Door Christian School were suspended because of several internet postings on myspace.com.
The principal at the Open Door Christian School in Fluvanna County was surfing the web when he found postings from some students that he did not like. Officials say the the postings contained illicit language and pornography. In fact, the postings contained a photo of a girl in a bikini holding a paintball gun and a picture of a Victoria Secret's Model.
"It basically happened at home and it is not like we were logging onto the school computer so it was really none of their business," said Gabriel Johnson.
Johnson was one of the students suspended. She says the site was all in good fun. Her father Gary agrees that some of the language on the site was offensive, but feels the school should not intervene.
"Thanks for bringing it our attention. It is an outside matter. It didn't happen inside the school and we will take care of it," he said.
But the result: "They still got suspended," Johnson said.
Now the Johnson's are fighting back.
"A lot of my anger is basically a lot of the unfairness that goes on there in the school," Johnson said.
