One student organization at UVa is taking care of your mind, body and soul with a 24-hour yoga fest.

The Society of Awakening Souls held a yoga fest that began at 7 pm on Saturday and continued until 7 pm Sunday evening.

There was a class every hour on the hour, with different types of yoga. Their goal is to raise awareness for their new student organization.

“Really we are just trying to spread awareness for mindfulness and also yoga and things like this around UVa and around Charlottesville as well,” says Nick Lasky, founder of the Society of Awakening Souls. “We want to bring a community together and celebrate.”

The founder of the organization says they are also hoping to raise money for the Mary Duty Cherokee Nation Education Fund, which helps Native American students pay for college.
