The local farm-to-table community has created a tribute to one of their own.

Richard Bean passed away in late November. Food from his farm in Nelson County, Double H Farm, has been served in many restaurants in the greater Charlottesville area. Those businesses will dedicate a special menu in his honor, this week and next week.

"He really kind of got the effort,” says local food author Jenny Gardner. “Anyone who dines in Charlottesville and eats at local restaurants has eaten his food. So you know, he was an important figure."

A memorial fund has also been set up, and is seeking public donations.
