More than 2000 students from all over the state traveled to Richmond this weekend to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition, but these aren't little remote controlled cars, they're 4 feet tall and about 120 lbs.
At the competition, students had to design robots that shoot balls into goals and work in teams of three.
The goal of the competition is to promote teamwork and an appreciation for engineering. Check out the video clips to see some examples of one of the robots made for the competition.
