Driver Arrested for Crashing Into Power Lines

Albemarle County police have arrested the driver who crashed into some powerlines that caused a power outage early Tuesday morning.

The car was going east on Route 250 around 6 a.m. when it ran into powerlines as it turned into the West Leigh neighborhood. Police said they saw an explosion in the sky. The driver left the scene but was later found and charged.
