Charlottesville Named One of the Friendliest Small Cities

Charlottesville has been named one of the top ten friendliest small cities, by real estate research website Movoto.

The site has ranked Charlottesville second in the list of America's Friendliest Small Cities. They say Charlottesville stood out for its flower and gift shops, farmers markets, and religious organizations.

The site looked at 100 cities with populations under 50,000, and ranked them based on crime, charity, gift stores, socializing spots and more.

4. Palm Springs, CA
5. Harrisburg, PA
6. Littleton, CO
7. Joplin, MO
8. Grapevine, TX
9. Galveston, TX
