AMBER Alert Canceled for 11-year-old Russell County Boy


The AMBER Alert issued for Lucas Guinn and his alleged abductor, Jimmy D. Guinn has been canceled.

State Police report that the search ended in a traffic stop in Southwest Virginia.

Lucas Guinn, 11, was safely recovered during that traffic stop. Jimmy Guinn, 67, was taken into custody without incident.

More details are expected to be released sometime Friday.

Virginia State Police have issued an AMBER Alert for missing 11-year-old boy. He was last seen at Lebanon Middle School in Lebanon, Va., in Russell County.

They say Lucas Ezra Silas Guinn was taken early Thursday morning.

He is 4 feet, 8 inches tall, 84 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a red and black shirt and blue jeans.

The child is believed to be in extreme danger.

Police believe he was abducted by 67-year-old Jimmy Donald Guinn, who is a while male, 5 feet, 11 inches tall and 235 pounds.

They may be traveling in a 2004 purple tractor freightliner with a Virginia license plate number 78471PY.

Police say they could also be traveling in a large style burgundy diesel pickup truck.
