PETERSBURG, Va. (AP) - Petersburg police are searching for a person of interest in connection with a house fire that killed four people.

Police spokeswoman Esther Hyatt said Sunday that 47-year-old Alexander Roosevelt Hill Jr. is wanted by Petersburg police for violating a protective order, providing false information to police and assault.

Hyatt says in a news release that Hill has connections to Richmond, Newport News, Virginia Beach and Trinidad, as well as Petersburg.

The fire was reported around 3:30 a.m. Saturday. The bodies of three adults and one child were found inside the home.

The victims' names haven't been released pending identification by the medical examiner.

Hyatt says police determined evidence of foul play. The case is being investigated as a homicide.

No other details were released.
