Albemarle County Police make an arrest in connection with a shooting Tuesday night in Earlysville.

Robert Lee Jarvis Jr. was arrested early Wednesday morning after being on the run for hours.

Investigators say Jarvis and another man got into a fight, and that's when shots were fired at a home on Durrett Ridge Road.

The victim was airlifted to the University of Virginia Medical Center with serious injuries.

Jarvis led police on a manhunt that lasted until 4:00 this morning.

He was arrested without incident on Burnt Mill Road and is now facing charges of malicious wounding, using a firearm in commission of a felony and one count of a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

Jarvis was taken to the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail where he is being held without bond.

Officials say Jarvis and the victim know each other and that the investigation is ongoing.
