Police swarmed an apartment at around 10:00 this morning at Wilton Farms off Route 20. One person was taken away in handcuffs.

At this point, police will not say if there is any connection to a weekend homicide in Charlottesville.

But the family of 30-year-old Tony Washington, also known by friends as "Redd," believes the man arrested is connected to his death.

They also say they believe there is more than one suspect. In fact, they believe police were acting on tips they got from friends and family.

Washington died on Saturday morning after being involved in a dispute at the al hamraa restaurant in the ix building. According to family members Washington got in an argument with another man on Friday night and was later stabbed with a knife.

Police have been tight-lipped about the investigation.
