Police Investigating Home Invasion in Scottsville

June 2, 2014

Albemarle Co. Police are investigating a reported home invasion on the outskirts of Scottsville.

Police were called a little before 11 a.m. Monday to a home on Totier Creek Road. A woman reported that someone was in her house, and that she was assaulted.

Officers searched the house, but didn't find a suspect inside.

"We are looking into the victim's statements and continue to investigate, but at this point it does not appear that there is any threat to the public," Albemarle Co. Police Lt. Todd Hopwood said. "This appears to be a random incident."
