Tuesday hundreds celebrated the 57th annual dogwood festival at McIntire Park.
Those who attended Tuesday’s celebration in McIntire Park were able to play games, eat a lot of food and enjoy a few rides.
Something new to the festival this year is the Dogwood Festival Pork Barbecue. There were several things that brought people to have a good time
“The good food and good times with my daughter and niece, said former Miss Dogwood, Krissy Pitts.
"[It's a] pretty day. And I got a little money to spend today, so I figured I'd bring the little girls out, and my wife," said Philip Chambers.
The festivities were capped off by a fireworks display. Rides in McIntire Park will run until Sunday April 23.
