American Idol contestant, Chris Daughtry, hit the stage again Tuesday.
According to Daughtry's mother, seeing the former Fluco perform right before your eyes is quite an experience.
Imagine being in the audience, watching American Idol contestant Chris Daughtry perform. Sandra Daughtry, mother of the Fluvanna County High School graduate said it is nothing short of amazing.
"It was even more exciting than...watching him on TV. It was just an indescribable experience," she explained.
Sandra, along with her husband watched last week's live performance and results show, in Hollywood. It marked the first time the two saw their son take to the American Idol stage in person. It was also a chance to see exactly how busy Chris really is.
"He's just amazing. How he's handling everything and he's just doing better than I would do, " said Sandra.
Apart from watching the performances and meeting the other contestants, Sandra also got a chance to talk to Idol judges Randy and Paula. Sandra says Paula had a little something to say about Chris.
"She said that he was a blessing. And I said he's definitely a blessing to us," said the proud mom.
Along with the whole experience, Sandra also came back to Fluvanna County sporting a Hollywood shirt and of course, a signed photo of her favorite idol.
"I'm just a proud mother," she added.
A mother whose son may be in the spotlight, for quite some time. You can catch the result show tomorrow night at 8:30 p.m. on WAHU FOX 27.
