Fluvanna County's Chris Daughtry make it through another elimination round on American Idol Wednesday night. Viewers in our area saw some familiar faces on the show.
Chris's parents, Sandra and Pete, whom the Newsplex has spoken with several times before got a chance to show their support for their son in front of a national audience.
In a taped message, Pete Daughtry said, "Hi Chris. We just want to let you know we're proud of you, and we're voting for you, and we love you. Can't wait to see you."
Sandra Daughtry echoed her husbands thoughts. "Hey Chris. We love you, and [we] vote for you every week until you become the next American Idol," she said
Chris' brother was also featured in another video message during the show. His wife was in the audience.
Like every Wednesday night, though, it wasn't all good news. Bucky Covington, of Rockingham, NC was sent home.
The final seven will take on the music of Rod Stewart next Tuesday at 8 p.m., on Charlottesville's own WAHU FOX27.
