The trial of the man accused of shooting an Albemarle County police dog was put on hold Thursday.
The jury won't hear closing arguments and begin deliberations until next Thursday.
Robert Lee Cooke is accused of maliciously wounding K-9 officer Ingo during a shoot out with police in 2004.
Today, Cooke testified that he only re-acted to protect himself.
