Charlottesville Police Directing Traffic on Park St.

June 18, 2014

Charlottesville Police officers will be directing traffic on Park Street at the intersection with the Route 250 Bypass ramps on Wednesday, June 18th until Friday, June 20th as new traffic signals are installed.

According to police, the presence of the officers is to manage traffic through the intersection and keep construction crews safe.

"They are here for a strict purpose: to slow traffic down as well as allow the construction crew to safely do their job at this highway construction project. And of course, the speed limits in this area are only 25 miles per hour throughout this entire construction zone," says Lt. Ronnie Roberts with the Charlottesville Police Department.

Work is scheduled to occur between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

The signals will become operational when the Interchange project is complete.
