Over 100 dogs were seized from an alleged puppy mill last week in Page County.
Nine of the dogs from the Page Co. bust were moved to the Charlottesville Albemarle SPCA.
The dogs had various problems, including over-grown nails, poor teeth and masses that needed to be removed.
But the rescued dogs seemed to be in good spirits.
"Most of the dogs seem to be in a good state of mind,” says Ashley Litton with the SPCA. “Flapjack is still a little nervous, but he is very receptive to being held and picked up and cuddled. And the other dogs that have come in equally we're like that."
There are still three dogs from the rescue available for adoption. You can contact the Charlottesville Albemarle SPCA at 434-973-5959 for adoption details.
