The Albemarle County Fair opened its doors on Thursday, and with longer hours this year, organizers say there are even more fun events and activities to check out.
The fair is a three-day agricultural celebration, complete with farm animals, exhibits, baked goods, crafts, and family entertainment like bluegrass, classic rock, and country music shows.
Organizers say they have some new exhibits your won't see anywhere else.
"We've got things you're not going to see anywhere else,” says Albemarle Co. Fair President Rob Harrison. “We are agriculturally focused, we also have some spinners in the tents. Some of them people don't do as much anymore."
The fair is located at the historic Ash Lawn-Highland, admission is $5 and kids under 6 get in for free.
