Police are investigating an alleged robbery in the 1700 block of Webland View in the Webland Park development in Albemarle County. Authorities say the incident happened around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
According to one witness who was inside that home at the time of the robbery, two men burst through the front door and pistol whipped one of the men in the home. His name and age are not being released, but he was taken to UVA Hospital. The severity of his injuries are unclear, but police say they did not appear to be life-threatening.
A large area of the scene in front of the home was taped off. Inside that area a piece of evidence was marked by police.
Authorities were also questioning neighbors late Saturday night about anything they may have seen or heard.
Our station was originally misinformed about the suspects, but the two people that allegedly broke into the home have no official description at this time. Police said they would provide more detailed information after conducting interviews in the neighborhood.
