This is the last May election the City of Charlottesville will ever so the Registrar's office is expecting a larger than usual turnout.

There are eight Precincts throughout the city that will be open from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. If you are voting at Clark, Venable, or Walker allow extra time for parking because the schools are still in session.

On the ballot, there are six candidates running for three open spots on the School Board. People can vote for three people. There are also three candidates for two open City Council seats.

There are usually lower turn outs in the Spring--between 22 and 26 percent, but for this final election the Registrar's Office say they hope to see it up to 30 percent.

"This is the last May election, we should make it a very historic election because this is the last May election the City of Charlottesville will ever see," said Sheri Iachetta.
