Update: Albemarle County Police report they have found the vehicle involved in Thursday morning's carjacking. Police said the car was found in northern Albemarle County. When pressed by the Newsplex, a police spokeswoman would not provide a specific location, saying that information is part of the investigation. However, the spokeswoman did say people in the area should be more aware of their surroundings.

Albemarle County police are investigating a report of a man wearing a fake beard carjacking a woman and her two children on Dickerson Road.
Police spokeswoman Carter Johnson says at 9:36 Thursday morning a man approached a stopped car on the 4700 block of Dickerson Road and pointed a gun at the woman driving.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, wearing a long fake beard, black shirt, black cargo pants, bandana with sunglasses.
Investigators say the suspect let the woman get out of her car and get her two children out of the SUV as well. They were not injured. The victim then went to a home about a half mile away to call for help.
The vehicle is a white Ford Escape with a license plate JWC-9642.
The suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous. If you have any information that can help the investigation, you're asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
