Students at Woodbrook Elementary had a field day today, and as a special treat they got to see how a hot air balloon works.
It was too windy to take the balloon off the ground, but kids learned how the balloon is inflated from local balloonist Rick Behr who offers rides at the Boars Head Inn.
Kids said they would have liked to have blown it up themselves or get a ride on it but some commented that their "mommy and daddy were too scared” and that “maybe we can do it when we grow up.”
Kids were in awe, especially hearing this was a small hot air balloon and that there are others much larger.
