Tuesday was National Hunger Awareness Day.
More 38 million people across the country suffer from hunger.
The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, here in Charlottesville, is doing its part by supporting the fight against hunger. Everyday this bank works with various charities and organizations to help people in need.
"The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank is one of twenty thousand different charitable organizations across the country that is working today to bring attention to the problem of hunger", explains Darryl Jones, part of the Program Services Division of the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.
