It was all about flags today at McIntire Park. In honor of the Annual Albemarle GOP Flag Day Picnic, Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling made an appearance. He urged residents to take part in tomorrow's upcoming election and spoke about budget concerns.

"They're making, I think, good progress at this point in time and I'm hopeful that when we go back to the capitol, if not on Friday of this week, certainly by the first of next week that the budget conferees are going to be able to come to agreement on the final budget," Bolling said.

Lt. Governor Bolling said that Virginia has yet to start the fiscal year without the budget in place and the conferees are aiming for a deadline of July 1st.
