According to the USGS, a 3.2-magnitude aftershock struck 8 miles southwest of Powhatan, Virginia at 9:47 PM on Wednesday night.

According to the USGS, a 3.2-magnitude aftershock struck 8 miles southwest of Powhatan, Virginia at 9:47 PM Wednesday night.

There were no immediate reports of damage.

Powhatan is about 30 miles west of Richmond.

According to the USGS, the largest earthquake (magnitude 5.8) in the seismic zone occurred in 2011.
