Area business leaders found out about the importance of being prepared today. The Charlottesville Area Chamber of Commerce and State Farm insurance held a seminar for small business owners. They discussed what needs to be done now in case a disaster strikes their business.
"We are so good at the things that we do and the products we deliver and the services we deliver but some times we have to stop and say 'lets plan for that continuous operation,'" says Chamber Chair-elect Mary Loose DeViney.
The business owners also learned how important it is to look into getting a separate flood policy.
