The Charlottesville man who was caught robbing two local hotels will remain in jail until his next court appearance. A General District Court judge denied bond for Demiris Wilson.

Police said just before 1 a.m. on Thursday, Wilson robbed the front desk of the Quality Inn on Emmett Street.

Just four hours later, the same man held up a clerk at the Red Carpet Inn in Albemarle County at knife point.

Police said Wilson physically assaulted that clerk before running off with the cash.

Wilson was arrested a short time after CBS19 News at Noon broadcast the surveillance video of one of the robberies.

Wilson is being charged with two counts of robbery, two counts of abduction and one count of assault and battery. His next court appearance has not been scheduled as of yet.
