Investigators say they're following strong leads in the search for several suspects accused of robbing the Kangaroo Express Gas Station on Sunday night.

Police say three suspects entered the store on Rio Road, pointed a hand gun at the store clerk and demanded money. Then they ran off heading towards Greenbrier Drive with an undisclosed amount of money.

Both Charlottesville and Albemarle County Police are working together to find the suspects.

There are "approximately probably 10 to 14 units between the city and the county, looking for them," said Sgt. Tripp Martin of the Albemarle County Police Department.

The clerk was not hurt in the incident and police say there is security footage that will aid the investigation.
