Some kids from our area got the rare opportunity to visit the wild.

Everyone from babies to 11-year-olds and parents got to see a few exotic animals up-close.

The meeting between them all was part of the 'Reptiles Alive' exhibit at the Jefferson-Madison Regional Library on Gordon Avenue. Close to 200 people got to see gigantic cockroaches, hard corps turtles, cold-blooded lizards, cool caimans, and even a long and strong boa constrictor.

It was all part of the summer reading program at the library downtown.
