A group of Charlottesville leaders gathered Thursday to talk about the way the city will look in the future.
The City Council along with the Planning Commission and the Architectural Review Board discussed zoning and transportation issues along with the future look of the Downtown Mall. While no changes were implemented, all involved said that the working relationship between the groups will move the City forward.
"It's vitally important...This envisions what the City of Charlottesville will become...and working collaboratively is the most important thing we can do together," said Planning Commissioner Jon Fink.
The three groups hope to meet quarterly to move the City towards rewriting the comprehensive plan. That process takes place every five years.
