Man Charged in Church Fire Competent to Stand Trial

The man charged with starting a fire at the Charlottesville Church of Christ in May has been found competent to stand trial.

Jason Santos, 24, faces three charges including breaking and entering.

Police say the deaf homeless man broke into the church to cook food and started a fire.

Santos is expected back in court on August 10.
