United Way officials say they've got the volunteers if you need the help. It's part of their annual Day of Caring. Every year their volunteers help non-profit organizations with special projects including painting and construction. This year they have close to 2,000 volunteers.

All of the extra help means they can take on more projects.

"We are looking forward to another great year. It's another opportunity for the United Way to strengthen our community, which is something that we try to do throughout the year," said Shaele Wood, Director of the Volunteer Center.

The deadline to sign up is July 26. To request help on a project, or to volunteer, log onto The Day of Caring is on September 20.
