The leader of the spiritual based Synchronicity Foundation is speaking out about the terrorist attacks in India that killed a Nelson County father and daughter.
For the first time Kia Scherr spoke out, saying it is not a time to grieve, rather a time to remember the loved ones that were lost.
“Our adrenaline started pumping and our hearts started racing. We had no idea what was happening, then there was a loud explosion directly underneath us and fire broke out,” said Charles Cannon, Spiritual Leader, Synchronicity Foundation
As Master Charles Cannon remembers last weeks deadly terrorist attacks, he says it was the most challenging moment in his entire life.
“They took us down through this hotel, but you could not imagine the devastation, it was like a bombed out war zone. The hall ways were flooded. Glass was every where… blood…bodies a horrible scene,” said Cannon.
Later it was confirmed that two of those bodies were Kia Scherr's husband and 13-year old daughter.
“They were enjoying each day to the fullest and they loved the people in India. The sights …the sounds… the colors… the food… everything. They were both having the times of their lives,” said Kia Scherr.
There are no feelings of guilt or anger at the Synchronicity Foundation, Master Charles and Kia have chosen to forgive the terrorists and now focus on Alan and Naomi.
“We must send them our love and forgiveness and compassion. As Jesus Christ said long ago they know not what they do. They are ignorance and they are completely clouded by fear,” said Scherr.
The family is still waiting on the remains to be returned, once that happens funeral arrangements will be made.

(AP) - The bodies of two Virginia victims of the attacks in Mumbai are being returned home.
A meditation community in Virginia where Alan Scherr and his teenage daughter, Naomi, lived said in a posting on its Web site a memorial service is planned "at a future date."
Monday's posting by the Sychronicity Foundation did not state when the Scherrs' bodies would be returned.
The community's spiritual leader, Master Charles, also offered a message of thanks for the "love and support" extended to Synchronicity during its ordeal.
Scherr and Naomi were among 25 people affiliated with Synchronicity who went to India on a pilgrimage. Four other members were wounded in the attacks.
