this is her mother,I want to thank everyone for their help and support during this time. it is so much of a shock to be going through this during the holidays. I want to thank the guy for stopping and helping my daughter. thank god it wasnt a hit and run.the situation is already bad enough. but to be a hit and run or a drunk driver would have made it worse. thanks to all who helped out. I just dont know what else to say. I just want to tell the driver I dont blame him. it was a freak accident. I can also imagine what YOU are going through.I will forever be grateful for what you tried to do for my daughter. I would really like to speak with you if its ok. and again.. thanks to all who helped out.

My prayers go out to her family. I was in C'ville visiting my wife's family for Christmas. We came upon the scene shortly after the accident and helped secure it along with a number of other helpful motorists. I can certainly tell you that no ill intent or factors (drugs or alcohol as other stories about incident mentions the potential for) were involved in regard to the driver. This was an incredibly unfortunate accident. The driver was a fire and rescue professional. He bravely gave her mouth to mouth with no reagrd to his own safty due to the presence of blood. He is a good / brave man who was caught in a horrible incident. I am glad they were able to identify her. Again, my thoughts and prayers are with her family and everyone involved.
