Students in Madison County have joined other students across Central Virginia who have returned to class.
The principal at Madison County High School said his students returned with lots of excitement. The Superintendent of Madison County Schools was out visiting schools Tuesday morning, and even rode school buses with elementary and middle school kids.
There were no problems getting the students back into the groove of things.
"We gave out student schedules at 'Back to School Night' last week, so most of them had their schedule. We got parent participation, and student participation as well last week, so it made today a lot easier with schedule changes," said Madison County High School Principal Mike Sisler.
The new school year kicks off for kids in Greene and Orange counties on Wednesday.
