Late Wednesday night, Albemarle County police said they located the man who fled from a car crash over the weekend.
Colin Glasgow, 43, was found around 7:30 p.m. in a rural area just off of Lewis & Clark Dr. in northern Albemarle County.
Police said Glasgow was the driver in a crash on Dickerson Road that sent three people to the hospital on Saturday. Glasgow left the scene of that accident and police searched the area for him. However, according to authorities, they decided to do a more thorough search of the area on Wednesday.
With the help of police dogs, authorities located the Glasgow. He was taken to UVA Medical Center, where he was treated for a leg injury and dehydration.
"[Glasgow] has a house out in Crozet," said Lt. Todd Hopwood, of the Albemarle County Police Department.
"We looked for him out there; they were conducting an investigation into his whereabouts...We searched the area previously with a canine, but we wanted to be thorough. It seemed like a likely area that he might have been in. He could have been injured," continued Hopwood.
Police would not say if Glasgow had been out in the rural area since the time of the accident on Saturday, or if his leg injury was from the incident.
Police also would not comment on why Glasgow may have fled the scene, although they would confirm that he now faces three felony counts.
Albemarle County police coordinated with the Albemarle County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Team to conduct Wednesday evening's search.
