Police in Culpeper are looking for a man who allegedly attacked his own roommate inside their home Thursday night.

Culpeper police say 33-year-old Benito Ramirez stabbed his roommate several times with a broken beer bottle. The victim says he walked into his home on Third street when his roommate rushed him near the kitchen. The victim was able to get away to a neighbor's house where someone called police before being taken to a hospital.

"The other guys tried to stop it. I do not understand why [he did not cut at anyone else], only me, you know? Three guys tried to stop, so I don't know how he ended up cutting me," said the victim who did not want to share his name.
