Emergency officials throughout Central Virginia are keeping their eyes on Tropical Storm Ernesto as it makes its way towards the Commonwealth.
Staff at the Emergency Communications Center for Charlottesville and Albemarle County are watching for any changes on the direction of the storm. They are also working with others to make sure everyone is informed on what could happen.
"We're communicating with people all over the city, county, and university as far as public safety, and other leaders. [This is] to make sure everyone is aware that we can potentially receive a great deal of rain especially during the day-time on Friday," said Emergency Coordinator Marge Thomas.
The viewing area is expected to get anywhere between six and ten inches of rain.
