Fire & Fight At Albemarle County H.S.

City and County police, along with fire crews and rescue teams were called to Albemarle County High School on Friday night when a fire and a fight broke out during a football game.

Students and parents said practice equipment near the football field was set on fire during Albemarle's game against Monticello High School.

Witnesses also said at least one fight broke out, potentially involving a weapon. Police would not confirm if any students were arrested, or if a weapon was recovered. At least one student sustained minor injuries, but no one was transported for medical attention.
