Members of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce held their annual "Community Government Luncheon" on Tuesday.
It allowed business owners and city officials to talk about the economic challenges of poverty in the Greater Charlottesville region.
"This is an important segment for economic well-being of the community as well as being a part of the community. It's in the interest of the businesses to try to promote the quality of life for all wager earners," said Steve Blaine of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce.
This year's theme was 'Improving Economic Opportunity In Our Community.'
