3 Arrested in Charlottesville for Welfare Fraud

Three women have been arrested and charged with welfare fraud in Charlottesville.

Police say 22-year-old Kianna Taylor, 47-year-old Selena Jones and 46-year-old Susan Taylor turned themselves in after receiving warrants for fraud from social services investigators.

Susan Taylor allegedly took more than $13,000, Jones close to $9,000 and Kianna Taylor more than $6,000. The fraud allegedly took place from March 2010 to February 2011.

According to the Social Services Department, investigators are working on arresting more for this type of fraud.
