The sluggish economy has many people looking for ways to save a few bucks. A Fluvanna County woman has a few tips posted on a new blog that could help save your family some cash on your next grocery bill.

You don't have to waste your time clipping coupons or reading the weekly circulars. One local woman has created a blog to tell you where to find all the greatest deals.

When you visit Dana Adams’ blog, Frugal in Virginia, you will find all the best sales.

Adams checks weekly grocery and pharmacy circulars for the deals each week, and she posts them to her blog.

“Everybody is trying to cut corners right now and looking for ways to save. So I think this is something that right now people are really interested in,” said Adams.

Being frugal started out as a hobby for Adams, but it recently became a business once she realized other shoppers could also benefit from the savings.

“I saw that it was saving our family hundreds of dollars a month, and it was so helpful to us," Adams said. "I just figured it wasn't just us that needed to save money. I just figured others could benefit from learning to save too.”

Adams says saving a few bucks here and there adds up. The extra $400 per month has even helped her family to start saving for the future.

“When I first started, we were renting, so since then, we've been able to buy a house. We’ve had the extra money to be able to make that purchase and also to start a college fund for our daughter and start saving for retirement,” said Adams.

The one thing Adams hopes people take away from her blog is that everyone can save money in all aspects of life.

This paper analyzes the impact of the subprime crisis on urban neighborhoods in Massachusetts. The topic is explored using a dataset that matches race and income information from HMDA with property-level, transaction data from Massachusetts registry of deeds offices. With these data, we show that much of the subprime lending in the state was concentrated in urban neighborhoods and that minority homeownerships created with subprime mortgages have proven exceptionally unstable in the face of rapid price declines. The evidence from Massachusetts suggests that subprime lending did not, as is commonly believed, lead to a substantial increase in homeownership by minorities, but instead generated turnover in properties owned by minority residents. Furthermore, we argue that the particularly dire foreclosure situation in urban neighborhoods actually makes it somewhat easier for policymakers to provide remedies. Johnmclrn Banking tips<

If people really want to get serious about saving money then they should add Bathroom Bidet Sprayers to all their bathrooms. I think Dr. Oz on Oprah said it best: "if you had pee or poop on your hand, you wouldn't wipe it off with paper, would you? You'd wash it off" Available at www.bathroomsprayers.com with these you won't even need toilet paper any more, just a towel to dry off! It's cheap and can be installed without a plumber; and runs off the same water line to your toilet. You'll probably pay for it in a few months of toilet paper savings. And after using one of these you won't know how you lasted all those years with wadded up handfuls of toilet paper. Now we're talking green and helping the environment without any pain.
